Homebuilders Presentation
Dear Homebuilders,
Thank you, brothers and sisters, for attentive ears and open hearts. I pray that your families continue with the peaceful burden of spreading God's love to your generation and fellows in the fight. This evening I think that one of the topics addressed may be more important at this time than what these ramblings are intended for, but I must approach it.
As you spoke on reaching out to new fellows who might join your ranks and who visit our church by the persuasion of the Spirit, I was attentive to the recurrent theme in your decisions to return and become part of our body at Trinity. I don't think I can overstress the importance of imitating that obvious trend. J and K were open hearted in their desires to have you and welcome you into our body. That same warmth is in nearly all of us at one point and is the same compelling spirit of love which our God expressed to us in the sacrifice of His holy Son. Life and experience and earth cause us to become more guarded in our lives. We cling dearly to our identities so tightly that the movements of the Spirit find a brick wall of ego as He brushes on our personalities.
I invite you to abandon the timidity that handicaps ministry and relationships, and speak lovingly into each others lives. With the truth of the gospel on your hearts and in your minds, the interactions which you have on a daily basis will be welcome words that bespeak the depth of love in your hearts. To grow the Homebuilders group and ensure the good development of our church, say, "Hello" to strangers with your heart and they will soon become family. Those of you who don't know David C. should get to know him. His uninhibited affection for people has often softened my words with a fellow human. One can quickly understand how to accept and care for people without regard for how they differ from you by watching David for only a little while.
Thank you again friends for visiting this page and for your prayers. God's grace and peace to you.
